Vancouver's Winter Olympic Games are only a year away now so this time is very special for Vancouver residents and for neighbouring communities such as Whistler and Squamish. Hundreds of thousands of tourists from around the world will converge on Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler and will discover why this is perhaps the best vacation spot in Canada. The Olympic Games is resulting in many new construction projects and a boom in housing in the region. This new housing and new tourist attractions will make Vancouver an even better place to visit. The fall season for Vancouver is not like other parts of Canada which can be chilly. Instead the Vancouver area enjoys very moderate temperatures right into winter. When temperatures fall in the great Canadian northwest, many see Vancouver as a nice place to get away for a break. Calgarians and those living in the British Columbia interior will drive to Vancouver for a short vacation. And when they arrive, there is plenty to do. The fall season in Vancouver brings out the wonderful colours of nature. If you want to see them all, you can drive north on Highway 99, also known as the sea to sky highway. The views of the water with multicoloured mountain landscapes in the background is stunning. The quietness of the area is also something that will appeal to many people including seniors. However, you won't be alone here. The North Vancouver area all the way to Whistler is well travelled by tourists. You'll find a lot of Japanese tourists who never seem to tire of visiting Vancouver and the coastal mountains. Vancouver Hotel Deals Many of the hotels in the greater Vancouver area will offer hotel discounts. If you're a US resident, you'll enjoy the extra benefit of Canada's weak dollar. The difference will amount to a 10 to 15% discount. Add to that deals where you get 3 nights for two, and you're getting almost a 50% discount for your Vancouver hotel rooms. Major airlines haven't cut their flight prices but on just about everything else including car rental, you should be able to find some bargains. After you've arrived you'll be looking to see the sites downtown. Your first venture should be to Canada place where the cruise ships dock. You'll know you've found when you see the high sails that line the roof of the building. The long pier is a great walk with great views of the unique buildings in Vancouver's business area and of English Bay. Float planes are fun to watch as they come into land and take off. There are restaurants and an Imax movie theatre. You can wander up hill to the Gas Town area, which is Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood where you'll find more shops and boutiques than you'll have time to walk through. The Pacific Centre is a huge downtown mall offering every kind of Canadian product you might want and the Robson Street area has quite a few shops. The Public Market area of Granville Island is just to the northwest of downtown Vancouver. Here you can find some interesting products and lots of local food including seafood. Granville Island itself is a large park. You can walk completely around the island park along a path on the waterfront. It is a very popular walk and you'll see plenty of local people strolling and roller skating here. The Vancouver Art Gallery offers a huge collection of art including native Canadian art and artefacts along with numerous noted contemporary and historic Canadian artist's work. There are plenty of downtown Vancouver hotels but you'd be wise to stay on the north side of North Vancouver If you have access to a car, you need to drive to North Vancouver, on the others side of English Bay. The narrow high bridges will give you quite a view of the water surrounding hill sides. Cruise ships, freighters, and tug boats are frequently spotted. Up toward Grouse Mountain, you'll discover the Kitsilano suspension bridge. It was one of the longest suspension bridges in the world at 340 feet, and you'll be looking down hundreds of feet to the valley floor. On the other side of the canyon it leads to, you can walk the trails. It's a great way experience British Columbia's beautiful nature in the fall. The Grouse Mountain Sky Ride is a large Gondola ride that takes you from the bottom of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver up 6,000 feet where you'll enjoy incredible views of the lower BC coastal region. In late fall and winter, there is a sky resort in full operation. North Vancouver offers some excellent restaurants and this village has great views of the City of Vancouver. This is where many professional photographers take their photos and you've probably already seen many photos of Vancouver from this location. If you're an active person, the area known as North Shore is reputed for its mountain biking trails. You'll need a trail map which can be obtained at the Cove Bike Shop. There's more to Vancouver than can be covered here, but fall is an excellent time to visit Vancouver BC. Book your flight and rooms and enjoy a fall vacation in Vancouver.
This is sincerely one of the big things of the week, and certainly I don't think it is going to last for long. And again, I will say I have no business relationship with anybody related with this, but the offer is so good that I think I really need to tell people. Finding flight deals to USA is not easy as competence is very high to cross the Atlantic. I have been always focusing my articles to the great people in America, but today... today the time has come for we Europeans! What would you think if I tell you that you can take a return flight from the UK to US or Canada destinations and at same time enjoy a stopover of 2 free nights with breakfast included at the beautiful city of Reykjavic, Iceland, for the price of 382 Euros (275 UK pounds)? This is truly one of the best flight deals to USA I have every seen. Well, I hope you think the same as me. Seriously, if I didn't have responsibilities here I would already have taken that one. But I'm gonna let your imagination fly. You can make your stopover either on your departing flight or on the return one, the flying period can be from the 29th of November to 15th of December, and later from 3rd of January to the 15th of March. The price of course is subject to very limited availability as any other hot flight deals to USA, so when it's gone, it's gone, and bookings can be made only over the telephone. The cities of destination are New York, Boston, Baltimore Washington, Minneapolis, Orlando and Halifax Nova Scotia. The accommodation at the US or Canada destination is not included, but being aware that nowadays the best offer for the return trip across the Atlantic is 343 Euros with Zoom Airlines, it is impressive that you can do the same plus 2 nights at a 4-stars hotel in Iceland with breakfast included for just 382. I'm gonna keep it that short, as it would be very boring a huge list with details, but I encourage you to access the link below to get the full information. I'll keep an eye as always to find even better flight deals to USA. A quick note before leaving as a reminder: Ryanair still offers the best airfares for nearly all the European destinations. Get with them to London for just 20 Euros or less the round trip with everything included, and from there take this one or any other flight deals to USA, Canada, or even South America.
We've all had regrettable service at a restaurant at some point in time, and we've all made one or two bad hotel choices in our lifetime. When you're traveling, it's especially important to do your homework, because you're in a totally unfamiliar place. The locals know which places to avoid, but do you? Fortunately, TripAdvisor has updated its app to make it easy for you to make wise travel choices on the go. The old "Local Picks" TripAdvisor app just wasn't cutting it. With some smart engineering, TripAdvisor has minimized its website to make it easy to read and navigate from your iPhone, Android, or other smartphone. Better yet, the app is free! (There isn't a downloadable TripAdvisor app yet for Blackberry or Windows Mobile.) The TripAdvisor app allows you to scan ratings for hotels, restaurants, and attractions all over the world in order to make a more informed decision. Be sure to quick write your own review from your iPhone after your visit, while your experience is still fresh and clear in your mind. You'll click on "Write a Review" on the page of any hotel, restaurant, or attraction, and then tell the world what you think. Travelers are quick to write about bad service or bad food ("Waiter, there's a fly in my soup!"), but be sure to write about excellent service, too. Before you make any reservation, it's smart to take a quick peek at the reviews on your TripAdvisor app. A few negative reviews are probably okay, but you can quickly spot a pattern of trouble and avoid a horrific visit. The TripAdvisor app is pretty sophisticated, as it's available in 13 different languages and in 20 countries across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. You can also use the interface to find the cheapest airfares in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. TripAdvisor Flights searches flight choices across the most popular online travel agencies and airlines, helping you to find the best possible deal. TripAdvisor is the world's most popular travel community, so it's the best travel resource there is. As of right now, its app allows you to access more than 35 million different reviews. You can sort your options by distance, price, or rating. You'll also find handy maps so that you never get lost, and you can check out some of the forums. While most of the reviews are honest, TripAdvisor is occasionally accused of slander because the bad reviews aren't verified. At this point, many hotel owners and innkeepers are mulling lawsuits, but so far, no legal action has been successful. It appears that TripAdvisor can't be held liable for incorrect information on its website, so the only option is for management to respond to negative reviews. Some reviewers may be pickier than others, so it can be difficult to determine which reviews are from spoiled travelers, and which ones are completely legitimate. The more reviews, the better, because then the average can't be spoiled by a small handful of people. With the TripAdvisor app on your side, your next meal or visit is bound to be superb. Just don't forget to share your opinion, too!
